Galatians 6:1-3 (KJV)

Verse 1

1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken

Definition:

Overtaken: to happen to or affect (someone) in a sudden and unexpected way a :  to catch up with b :  to catch up with and pass by :  to come upon suddenly

 in a fault,

Definition:

Fault:  a physical or intellectual imperfection or impairment

ye which are spiritual 

Definition:

Spiritual (maturity):  of, relating to, consisting of, or affecting the spirit:  concerned with religious values, the development of Christlike character and behavior in the Christian through a renewed mind and tested faith.  (Spiritual maturity requires Christlikeness) (one who is truly renewed and tested, this should be a goal for every Christian),

restore

Definition:

 restore:  return (someone or something) to a former condition, place, or position.

 such an one in the spirit of meekness;

Definition:

meekness:  the fact or condition of being meek; submissiveness.

considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

Definition:

tempted:   have an urge or inclination to do something.  attract; allure

Verse 2

² Bear

Definition: 

Bear:  Carry, support, to accept or endure (something) : to assume or accept (something, such as cost or responsibility) (or my personal favorite, sums up the meaning perfectly)  to move while holding up and supporting (something)

ye one another’s burdens,

Definition:

burdens:  something that is carried :  load, duty, responsibility, something oppressive or worrisome

and so fulfil the law of Christ.

Verse 3

³ For if a man think himself to be something,

Definition:

himself to be something:  pride, self-righteous, judgmental,

when he is nothing,

Definition:

nothing:  not anything; no single thing.

he deceiveth himself.
