NoteJESUS, JESUS, JESUS, There’s just something about that name…….. MASTER, SAVIOUR, JESUS, like the fragrance after the rain…… JESUS, JESUS, JESUS, Let all Heaven and Earth proclaim……. NoteKings and kingdoms will all pass away……… But there’s something about that Name……Note

I started to write and study about the Shunammite woman in the book of II Kings this week, but GOD led me to study about our precious LORD and SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST, and review some of the scriptural reasons for HIS greatness.  So during the weekend that we celebrate HIS birth, over 2000 years ago, this is just a few things that I found in the Authorized King James Version Bible regarding this Precious JESUS.

10 My beloved iswhite and ruddy, the chiefest among ten thousand. Song 5:10 (KJV)

10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom areall things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.  Heb 2:10 (KJV)

10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. Heb 5:10 (KJV)

that didn’t need to offer daily sacrifices because he was the perfect sacrifice,

27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s:  for this he did once, when he offered up himself.  Heb 7:27(KJV)

regular priests were imperfect, but CHRIST was perfect.

28 For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, makeththe Son, who is consecrated for evermore.  Heb 7:28 (KJV)

but HE didn’t glorify HIMSELF as our high priest:

5 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee. 6 As he saith also in another place, Thou arta priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.  Heb 5:5-6 (KJV)

  • HE is fairer than the children of men:

2 Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever. Psalms 45:2 (KJV)

10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom areall things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. Heb 2:10 (KJV)

  • HE is the Author of our Salvation:

9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;  Heb 5:9 (KJV)

  • HE is a Jewel beyond compare:

46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.  Matt 13:46 (KJV)

  • HIS words were:

Gracious:

22 And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph’s son?  Luke 4:22 (KJV)

Capable of giving life:

68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. John 6:68 (KJV)

Eternal:

31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. Mark 13:31 (KJV)

Divine:

24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me. John 14:24 (KJV)

Wholesome:

3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, eventhe words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; 1 Tim 6:3 (KJV)

Life:

63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and theyare life.  John 6:63 (KJV)

  • HE is the righteous branch:

5 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. Jer 23:5 (KJV)

  • HIS dominion is everlasting:

14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom thatwhich shall not be destroyed.  Dan 7:14 (KJV)

  • All enemies are under HIS feet:

25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 1 Cor 15:25 (KJV)

  • HE is truth:

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.  John 1:14 (KJV)

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.  John 14:6 (KJV)

37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. John 18:37 (KJV)

  • HE is the Light of the world:

2 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. Isaiah 9:2 (KJV)

6 I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; Isaiah 42:6 (KJV)

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. John 1:4 (KJV)

9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. John 1:9 (KJV)

12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12 (KJV)

  • Was made higher than the heavens:

For such an high priest became us, who isholy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; Heb 7:26 (KJV)

  • Made lower than the Angels:

9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. Heb 2:9 (KJV)

  • Human as well as divine:

17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertainingto God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. Heb 2:17 (KJV)

  • HE is the mediator of the New Testament:

15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that wereunder the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.  Heb 9:15 (KJV)

  • Is restitution for all things:

21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. Acts 3:21 (KJV)

  • He is our life!

4 When Christ, who isour life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.  Col 3:4 (KJV)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
